My little brother got a game called The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game! for CHristmas. I am going to review this game for you. The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game! is for ages and 3 years and up and 2-4 players. It won a Parents’ Choice Silver Honor award from the Parents’ Choice Foundation.

My mom thinks that the colors in this game are very pretty and she liked that all of us could play together. Sometimes my brother has trouble with games because he’s three. She also liked that you learn important preschool skills like colors, taking turns, and fine motor skills.

The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game (A Kid Review)

First, you put the acorns in the box so it looks like they are near a tree.

Second, everyone gets a tree trunk and the youngest player spins first. You could spin: a color of acorn, one acorn, two acorns, a storm (you lose all of your acorns), sad squirrel (you lose your turn), or sneaky squirrel (you get to steal an acorn from someone else).

Third, if you land on something where you get an acorn, you use the squirrel squeezer. If you land on one acorn, you use the Squirrel Squeezer to pick up one acorn of any color that you need. If you land on two acorns, you use the Squirrel Squeezer to pick up two acorns of any color that you need. If you land on a color, you use the Squirrel Squeezer to pick up an acorn of that color.

Then you use the Squirrel Squeezer to place the acorn into the hole that matches your acorn.

The first person to fill up all of the holes in their tree trunk wins the game.

What you learn when you play: a little bit about squirrel behavior and foraging for the winter, taking turns, colors, matching, not to throw a fit when you lose a turn or a sneaky squirrel steals from you, imagination when you put a personality to the squirrel, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills to pick up the acorn with the Squirrel Squeezer, and some strategy.

We had a lot of fun playing this game. I would give this game five out of five stars but I still like chess better.
