Today, I am going to tell you how to make a no-sew hopscotch mat in minutes!
How to Make Your Own DIY Hopscotch Mat
It is one of those rainy, raw New England winter days over here, a day where I want nothing more than to stay in my jammies and read a good book. Alas, it’s a couple days before Christmas and my to-do list, like everyone else’s, is long. I need my kids to be entertained so that I can do all the things!
Luckily, my kids rediscovered an old DIY project this morning: a no-sew hopscotch mat! I made this thing over a year ago, folks, and it’s still kicking! I’m going to share with you how I did it because it’s insanely easy to make and it will wear your kids out on a grey day like today!
It’s so simple! All you need for my no-sew hopscotch mat is a large piece of felt, felt scraps, scissors, and hot glue. It’s a no-sew hack! I cut out the squares and the numbers and hot glued them to the larger pieces of felt. That’s it! I thought the thing would fall apart but it hasn’t yet and the kids have a lot of fun with it.
*Safety note: make sure to use this thing on carpet, not wood (as you see above) so that you don’t take a digger!
