    Right now my family’s favorite games are Sleeping Queens (the 7-year old), Uno (the 5-year old), and Go Fish (the almost-3-year old)! Daddy and I like Ticket to Ride: Europe and of course Settlers of Catan. We’re getting some new games soon (surprises from the in-laws but I’m sure they’re all recommended by you and put onto my Amazon wish list!) and I’m ready for a break! So needed to read your recent bit about how they’re working on skills. Working on skills. Working on skills. =) That was a good reminder. =) Thanks for all you do in giving us permission to PLAY!

  • Sum Swamp is a favorite at my house. Somehow my daughter always makes it out of the endless loop and I get stuck there and she thinks it’s hilarious. I also bought ThinkFun MathDice Chase and use the expanded dice so that we can add/subtract numbers up to 12 now. It makes practicing sums much less painful.

  • Our fave game right now is a toss-up between Guess Who? and Jenga. I can’t count how many times in a row we’ve played them this week. 🙂 My youngest (3yo) is hooked on Cootie! She plays all by herself sometimes.

  • Our family’s favorite game is Apples to Apples. It is something that we can all play. That is a tough thing to do when your kids are spread apart in age, like mine are. 16, 13 and 9 year-old’s don’t agree on much, but they all do like this game. My 21 year-old will also play if he is home.

  • Hi. This is such a great list! I’ve recently been introduced to the gameschooling community via the facebook group and I have found so many great games through there. I think our favorite game at the moment is Sushi Go. Or possibly Sleeping Queens. It’s so hard to pick one!

  • Choosing a favorite gAmerican is like choosing a favorite book - there are far too many we love & all are different. One would be Five Crowns - a Rummy variant. It’s one of only two games we’ve worn out & replaced. Thinkfun solitaire logic games is another group of favorites.

  • Our current favorite games are Sushi Go and Timeline. Even my toddler loves them, even though he doesn’t completely understand the strategy involved (or historical events). Our all-time family favorite is Catan Junior, and my all-time favorite is Scrabble!

  • I really love Set. I just discovered it in December and can’t get enough. My family won’t play with me though. I am thinking maybe Set Jr. would be more welcome. We are all enjoying Dragonwood currently. It is my 8year olds favorite, but everyone can join in.
