Guess what, you guys! I have a podcast. I am so non-technical that still can’t believe that I have a blog and now I’m delving into the world of podcasting and it has been so much fun because I have my homeschool sister, Kara, along for the ride. The whole thing was Kara’s idea, actually, and it was a fantastically fun one.
Anyway, we have our first post up this week. It’s called The Year of Nope. I’d love it if you could head over and give it a read and leave a comment. Also, if you have ideas for podcast topics, please send them our way. And be sure to stay tuned because our first episode is out this week! Eek!!
Here is everything wonderful from the week that was. I’d love to hear what you were up to this week. Please share in the comments!

Just wanted to let you know how proud I am of you. I’m an out of work veteran teacher, but I keep in touch with my friends on FB. I read your pool story, then followed it to your Poppie site. You are amazing. The public system often fails to meet the needs of children who don’t fit the mold… and it is not always the teacher’s fault. I won’t get into that, but I applaud you for doing what you need to do for your children. You find other people and form supports for each other, then tackle things that are difficult for you like podcasts. I would not even know where to start because I did not grow up with computers. (dating myself here) Anyway, I wanted to let you know you make a difference by sharing your life and ideas with others.
Virginia,
Your words to me mean more than you know. Thank you so much for understanding, and for giving such positive feedback. The public educator in me had a tough time making this transition, but it is truly what is best for my children right now. Thank you for reading! <3
We love Horrible Histories and Horrible Science books. And Horribly Famous (Charles Dickens is what we’re reading at the moment) and Murderous Maths… but I digress.
A while back I found audio CDs of a couple of Horrible Science and Horrible Histories books on ebay. They seem to have been promo CDs in cereal in the UK , or something similar.
The CDs don’t cover the whole book, but they were definitely worth the cost to post them to Australia. We listened over and over and over in the car.
Ooooh, M you are fantastic but you do terrible things to my Amazon cart 🙂 I will have to look for Horribly Famous AND the CDs. They sound like something we would adore!
