As a homeschooling mom, I love to see how other homeschooling parents do this thing. We all do it so differently! Even here, in our home, no two days are the same. I think that is one of the many reasons I love homeschooling. It is fluid and never boring! Each week, I like to share a bit of our world with you. I share what we’ve been up to, what we are reading, what articles have inspired great conversation on our Facebook page, and what I’ve written. When you finish reading, I’d love to hear what your family has been up to!
My Little Poppies Week in Review
Here’s what the poppies have been up to:
From music to art to math to face painting, here is a glimpse into our homeschool this week.
Saturday & Sunday
I was treated to a concert by a one-man band and it reminded me of Mary Poppins.
This week will also go down in the books as the week that Linda joined Instagram. You asked, folks, and we answered.
Linda rides her tiny little bike in the sunshine. Linda is fit and healthy.

Monday
Do you know how Mondays kind of stink sometimes? Well, we figured out the most delicious and delightful way to make Mondays exciting. My children have “restaurants” on Mondays. They plan the meal, the decor, the menu, and prepare the food. We are working on the clean-up part, but Mondays are infinitely better and a lot of learning happens!

After the restaurant, we had heaps of fun making a stick bomb!
Tuesday
We had the most relaxed and fun day of spontaneous learning and the kids ended up looking like this:
Love these kids! Even that small, filthy, and unclothed one!

Wednesday
The first warm day in New England is magical. It is one of the many reasons why I love living here. Well, Wednesday was sunny and in the low 70s. It was a gift of a day! We took full advantage by meeting up with friends for a morning at a favorite farm. Then we headed over to our favorite nature center, and then we played in the backyard. The kids ended the day tired, filthy, and smiling!
Thursday
We made big bubbles!
