Why I Want CHICKENS

I really, really want to get chickens for the backyard. There are many reasons why I think chickens are a good idea. First, they eat ticks. Ticks are bad because they suck your blood and can make you very sick. Second, you can compost the chicken poop. Composting is good because it helps grow plants and composting cuts down on trash. Third, you won’t have to go to the store to buy eggs. Eating local eggs is good because they don’t get transported in trucks and that means that they are fresh. Fourth, you can make money from selling the extra eggs. Having extra money is good in case you want to buy things. Finally, I want to take care of the chickens. This would help me learn responsibility. And that’s why I want to get chickens.

One of our chickens likes to sit on my daughter’s lap and slide down our slide. Our chickens come when we call them, and they follow me all over the yard because they want treats like fruit scraps and sunflower seeds. I hope you can get some chickens some day.
