{weekend wrap-up}
Each week, I read so many wonderful posts and articles and ideas. In case you missed it, here’s a little bit of what I’ve shared on Facebook this week. Here’s a taste of the wonderful from the week that was!

New from My Little Poppies:
Here are the My Little Poppies posts from this week. Did you see the ThinkFun-themed gift basket I’m giving away??
What are the poppies reading this week??
Because I participated in a Blog Hop this weekend, and because Schizz is working and the kids are crabby, I am going to merge The Books that Fill Our Shelves in with this weekend’s Poppies’ Picks.
Schizz is reading:

What have the little poppies been up to in real life??
If you hang out with us on Instagram, you already know what we’ve been up to!

Summer fun, music, and missing front teeth!

Remember these books? They helped me to [barely] survive the DMV with Leo.

We have been having SO MUCH FUN learning about maps. So much fun that we can’t put these books down. Stay tuned for a post, folks!
Recommended by My Little Poppies this week:
Leap Frog TAG Reading System
This little pen has held up through three children. It has taken a beating, folks, and it’s still kicking. Before Leo and T could read, they would go to bed with their TAG pens and “read” themselves to sleep. Now, Seuss does the same!
Groovy Lab in a Box
We LOVE Groovy Lab in a Box and have gushed about it on several occasions. We’re sad that summer fun in the pool is ending soon, but we’re excited to resume our Groovy Lab in a Box fun!!
100 Things for Little Children to Do on a Trip
We love these little cards! While we don’t travel far these days, we do take these out at restaurants. Pass out a few cards to each kid, give them a dry-erase marker, and BOOM- quiet, happy table!
Alek Art Trays
Do you love art but hate the mess? We have had these art trays for YEARS (as you can clearly see by their messy appearance), and they definitely help. There’s still clean-up involved but it’s much less overwhelming. And, if you’re interested in that amazing oversized map book from Candlewick, you can check it out here. Stay tuned for a fun map post, folks!
Erin Condren Life Planner
I am a planner by nature and I have tried so many planners. Last year, an equally planner-obsessed friend of mine introduced me to Erin Condren and it was love at first sight, folks. I bought my first Erin Condren Life Planner for my birthday last August and will do it again this year!

3M Peltor Junior Earmuff
I talk about these ALL THE TIME. When Leo was first diagnosed with SPD, we purchased these headphones. At that time, he was TERRIFIED of certain noises. These headphones helped him to cope and they gave him the power to block out something that was unsettling. He used to be terrified if the TV was on and these helped him to better manage the challenge. Now, he’ll still use them for noises occasionally but what he REALLY uses them for is to block out his siblings when he’s trying to concentrate on his homeschooling. I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend!

I’m so happy you linked with Collage Friday! I’ve been wanting to read Boys in a Boat… I think I just need to get it and start! Looks like a great week with you all.
My daughter absolutely adored Mysterious Benedict Society. She recommends Septimus Heap to Leo
