Welcome back to the 10-Day “Coffee and Books” Read-Aloud Challenge. Today is Day 10 of the 10-Day “Coffee and Books” Read-Aloud Challenge.
Honestly? I’m feeling a little bit sad over here. I have really enjoyed chatting read-alouds and books with you. I’m going to miss you!
I hope this challenge helped your family to create some new memories around books. And I hope it’s just the beginning of a simple, sustainable read-aloud habitat that will fuel learning all day long!
Day 1o: Family Favorite

Your daily read-aloud is the most important part of your *entire* homeschool day.
As a school psychologist, bibliophile, and homeschool mom, I am confident when I tell you this: Your daily read-aloud is the most important part of your entire homeschool day.
That’s right, friends. If you pick up a book and read it aloud to your kids, you are checking off the most important homeschool box. Plus, you’re connecting and making memories.
Now, do your read-alouds need to be magical, educational, and memorable?
Nope!
The most important thing is that you take the time to read-aloud. Your read-alouds won’t be perfect. You’ll have interruptions, and squabbles, and wiggly kiddos.
But you’ll be creating memories and building a family culture of joyful curiosity and lifelong learning.
