My youngest started reading! I still can’t even talk about it without tearing up. It is my absolute favorite parenting milestone!

Coffee and Books this morning: Vincent’s Starry Night and Other Stories: A Children’s History of Art. . One of the biggest homeschooling perks is the ability to incorporate art into daily learning. This kid climbed out of his crib before he could walk. . The kids have been a bit crabby this weekend. We knew they needed some fresh air and nature and so we enjoyed a rainy hike. Best way to turn those frowns upside down! . What are you up to today? Share here!

Tunnels, tents, and face paint for the win! Kara and I just recorded an AMAZING episode that you won’t want to miss… and with only two kid/zombie interruptions! 🎉 . (And this stuff doesn’t wash off easily so ukulele and the library will be interesting! 😂) . #bravewriter

Have games, will travel. It’s too gorgeous out to stay inside so we packed games and went to a local sunflower patch. Perfect , especially after the book we read this morning 🌻. . What does #homeschool look like for you today?

Friday

This sweet girl reads aloud to our dog, Finnegan, every single day. It is the most adorable tradition. I can understand why so many libraries hold programs for reading to pets. They are so loving and they never judge! 💕 . Speaking of which, if you are looking for a great book to teach kindness, check out My Friend Maggie. I can’t get through this one without tearing up. It has an important message a out being an upstander and not a bystander, and how to be a true friend to others. . What are you reading today? Share here!
