This is Leo. Remember how last week we read The Snowy Day for book club and we had so many activities? This week for our My Little Poppies Family Book Club, we read the book It Looked Like Spilt Milk.

Here’s some milk paint. I did a science fair project last year and I learned that milk paint used to be a real thing used all the time. The farmers used to mix milk and berries. Also, they mixed milk and blood to make red! Gross!!

Here’s a tracing activity that I thought little kids might try:

Here’s our goofy interpretive dance where we’re pretending to be clouds:

We also used these cool journals that we made to cut out our own cloud shapes and write about what we thought they look like:

And, did you know that Charles Shaw was an abstract artist? We did abstract art, too. We did regular art but we also used wood scraps:
