The Monster
By: Leo
I never saw it coming but this summer I met a monster.
It all happened like this:
One warm summer night I decided to sneak up to the attic. When I got there I looked around. There was lots of old stuff. It was creepy! Suddenly I heard a noise. I looked around a corner and saw A MONSTER! It was three feet tall, furry, and had horns. I screamed!
“Do not be scared,” said the monster. “Be my friend.”
Finally, I agreed. Me and the monster became friends. When my mom made cookies I gave him one. When we had a party I got him a piece of cake. One winter night he told me he told me he had to move. I was sad. But I let him. He climbed out of the window and left. The next morning I remembered him. I smiled.
Leo,
I love it! The storyline has everything a great story needs – from the hook at the beginning to the bittersweet resolution.
THANK YOU. LEO
What a great story! I especially liked that you smiled when remembering your monster friend. It shows maturity 🙂
Your comment made him smile 🙂
Will there be a sequel to this, to tell us about why he moved to your house, and why he had to leave when he had it so good living there? Good story, Leo. I especially like the first two and the last two sentences.
I’ll ask him to work on one 🙂 Right now, he’s absorbed in 3-d LEGO sculptures 🙂
