This doesn’t always work (what does really?), but I have taught my kids to put their hand on my arm when they want to interrupt while we read aloud or really at anytime. I then lay my hand over theirs to acknowledge that they have something they want to say or ask. Then once I reach a good point, I turn to them, remove my hand, and let them speak. It has helped a lot!
