Hi.
This is Leo again. People have been asking for me to post book reviews. Here is my first one: Percy Jackson Review. It’s a 5 book series and it’s great! Hope you like this first book review!
This week I have been reading a series of books called Percy Jackson and The Olympians. I was sick one day and I just read these books all day long. There are five books in the series. The first one is called The Lightning Thief. The second one is called The Sea of Monsters. The third is called The Titans Curse. The fourth one is called The Battle of The Labyrinth. The last one is called The Last Olympian. These books are so awesome!! If you like gods and Greek myths and suspense and action you are sure to like these books.
I would give this book series 5 stars *****!!! It will be hard for you to stop reading these books. They are almost as good as Harry Potter. Next, I’m going to read The Heroes of Olympus Three-Book Set by Rick Riordan. I’ll let you know how it is when I finish.
Thanks for reading my first book review!! Let me know if you have any questions!
Leo

My son, Harrison (13), just finished reading the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. It is 4 books – Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr & Inheritance. He loved them! You may want to give them a try and see if you enjoy them!
Thank you for the recommendation, Anne! We will be sure to check them out!
Great job, Leo! I truly look forward to reading more book reviews from you. When my students return in September, I will share your reviews with them. Maybe you will inspire them to read some of your suggested titles! Keep reading and sharing Leo … the world loves to hear your voice.
Thank you so much, Angela!
Hi Leo! I have been wondering if that series is any good. Thanks for your review!
May I ask how old you were when you began reading them? My son is going to be 5 soon and I’m not sure if he will like them yet or not.
Also, did you already know a bit about mythology prior to beginning reading the series? If so, what books can you recommend?
Thank you!
Hi Christina,
Leo’s actually upstairs reading the second Percy Jackson series as I type- no joke! He started reading them at age six. He didn’t know anything about mythology (or, not much) prior to beginning the series but he LOVES it now. If your son likes Percy, consider reading D’Aulaires’ Book of Greek Myths after (or maybe even before to gauge interest). Happy reading!
i love that series!
