Tell Me a Story Cards
I’ve posted about eeBoo’s Tell Me a Story cards SO many times. Our family loves them! Your child can’t help but come up with creative stories when presented with these gorgeous illustrations! Fun for the whole family … and they’re learning!
Dinosaurumpus! by Tony Mitton
This is one of those books that brings back SO many family memories. I’ll never be able to donate it, folks. We’ve read it so many times that I still have it memorized. Do you have a book like this in your home?
Portable Lap Desk
Do your kids have a desk? My children LOVE working at these colorful little desks. We’ll sit them in front of the TV for a “dinner picnic” once in a while (doesn’t “dinner picnic” sound better than TV dinner??), we take them with us when we travel, and they were essential during construction.
The Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv
This is my second-favorite parenting book of all time, and I talk about it all the time on this site. I wish it could be required reading because I think it’s that important. The reality is, kids today are better able to identify zoo and jungle animals than they are the animals that live in their own backyard. There is such a disconnect from nature and it’s sad. Nature has been shown to have a positive impact on the health and happiness of ALL people, not just children.
