Are you wondering if it’s possible to make middle school math fun? (Spoiler: Yes, it’s possible!) Join us for a conversation with Betsy Mays, a veteran middle school math teacher, parent, instruction and curriculum specialist, and game designer.
The Homeschool Sisters Podcast Welcomes Betsy Mays of Games by Absolute Zero

Betsy Mays is a wife, mother, math teacher, and game creator. She has a bachelor’s degree in
elementary education and a master’s in educational leadership. After spending 27 years in
public education, she is now on a mission to give parents and teachers tools they can use, in
the way of games, to make learning math fun and stress-free.

Betsy Mays created Games by Absolute Zero to turn kids on to math and make math
practice fun and engaging. As a middle school math teacher, parents were always asking Betsy
“How can I help my child be successful in math? It was never my strong subject.” Playing games
is one of the many things parents and teachers can do with kids to strengthen math skills.

NEVER BOARD LEARNING FOR OUTSIDE-OF-THE-BOX KIDS (AND THEIR MOMS!)
One thing I’ve learned in our 9+ (!!!) years of homeschooling is that homeschooling shouldn’t look anything like the public school of your past. I created NBL as a safe space for creative parents and educators to authentically connect, share ideas, and support each other as they raise their wildly and wonderfully unique children and teens.
I’d love for you to step outside of that ol’ proverbial box and join the fun! Right now, download a free copy of our monthly playbook! Join the fun today and have a better tomorrow!
