It’s that time of year, again. Back to School Season is in full force, while I am clinging to every last bit of summer possible. The reality is, it’s time to consider our homeschool curriculum choices for the fall.
Summer is my favorite time of year, hands down. Every August, I find myself dreading the new school year. This year, the pressure feels even greater as two of my children are trying public school classes.
Transitioning Back To Homeschool
I have spent so much time figuring out everything my oldest two need to transition to a traditional school (paperwork and more paperwork!) I have barely even considered what homeschool will look like with my youngest this fall.
Feeling a little guilty and even more resistant, I had resigned myself to just figuring it out after my older two started school. The only thing bothering me though was how to find a solid choice for language arts this year.
Finding A Homeschool Language Arts Curriculum
One of the subjects that I know I need more options for this fall is language arts. Although we will continue our Coffee and Books tradition with just the two of us, my youngest is at the age and ability where I think he is ready for a more robust approach.
Not wanting to spend money on a program that I am not certain will work, I was excited to find all the language arts trials that Homeschool Buyers Club is offering for FREE this summer.
Take a look at just a sample of the language arts programs currently available for free:
- Words and Their Stories

Making Informed Homeschool Curriculum Choices
I can’t tell you how impressed I am with this list. It’s a rare chance to try before we buy and make certain that I am making an informed choice for our curriculum this year.
How many times have I bought a program or course, only to learn in the first day or two that it is not a good fit for my kids? The answer is too many.
Also, it’s been great to get my son involved. He can go down the list and pick and choose his favorites!
