I’m sharing our family’s favorite reading and language arts games.
Playing with language is a huge part of our homeschool routine! These are games that are not only fun, but also boost those all-important literacy, oral language, and written language skills!

Introducing my expert gameschooling panel:
As a gameschool family, we play games daily. We consider games to be part of the curriculum and value the power of play. Today, I would like to introduce you to my expert gameschooling panel.
This expert gameschooling panel will be sharing their top picks for gameschooling reading, writing, and language arts.
The 10-year-old’s favorite language arts game
This fella’s favorite language arts game is Scrabble. No, I didn’t pay him to say that! (It’s my favorite, too!)
He said, “You have to be creative to play Scrabble. The more words you know, the better you will play. It helps with vocabulary, spelling, and it also has lots of math.”
The 9-year-old’s favorite language arts game
My sweet girl’s favorite reading, writing, or language arts game is Listography.
She said, “I think this game is so fun. It’s a fun family game where you make lists.”
The 7-year-old’s favorite language arts game
This guy’s favorite language arts game is Apples to Apples Freestyle.
He said, “I like Apples to Apples Freestyle because of instead of having to pick a card, you can create your own answer and it can be hilarious!”
