Today I’m going to tell you how to make your own Calm Down Spray using lavender essential oil. It’s super-easy to make and it smells wonderful. Lavender is said to help to calm and induce sleep.
I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned it here- I know we’ve talked about it over on Facebook- but Leo has been big into wizardry lately. Schizz found him a wizard book at the dump and it became one of our Instant Dump Classics. I love to encourage creativity and exploration, but the random bottles of colored liquids that I have been finding spread throughout my already discombobulated-due-to-construction home are about to throw me over the edge, folks. I decided that if you can’t beat them, you should join them. I decided to redirect the wizardry. I had Leo the Wizard make his very own Calm Down Spray, and today I’m going to share our recipe with you in the hopes that it will bring calm and sleep to your home.
 DIY Calm Down Spray:
Materials:
Small spray bottle (like this one)
Lavender essential oil (we used this one)
Witch hazel (we used this one)
Distilled water
Instructions:
Have your little wizard fill the spray bottle with distilled water. Add 1 teaspoon of witch hazel and 20-25 drops of lavender essential oil. Replace the nozzle, shake well, and then spritz away.
This Calm Down Spray smells lovely and makes a wonderful linen spray. Have your little wizard spritz a little of this spray on his or her bed sheets before going to sleep and hopefully it will result in sweet dreams! It’s an excellent addition to your Worry Basket!
