Are you a children’s books fanatic? I sure am! And today, I’d like to gush about some titles from Beautiful Feet Books that we have absolutely ADORED recently.
(Yes, again. If you’ve been following us for any length of time, you know we love Beautiful Feet Books.)
We start our day with Coffee and Books, we listen to audiobooks in the car during the day, and we end with books and snuggles. Beautiful Feet Books makes Coffee and Books learning a snap! I’ve yet to read a title from Beautiful Feet Books that my kiddos didn’t love!
Coffee and Books with Beautiful Feet Books: A Memorable Start to the Day!
*Disclosure: I received the following titles from Beautiful Feet Books and was compensated for my time. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. I only share resources that I would use with my own family and those that I believe other families will enjoy. We absolutely adore Beautiful Feet Books. We have loved their books for years!
The backstory…
Our homeschool routine includes carefully selected, high-quality read alouds and educational games. There are heaps of fantastic books on the market today!
I believe that you could homeschool the elementary years with your library card alone.
Yes, really.
And yet, this is easier said than done. As homeschool parents, we all have the best of intentions. But then life happens and we end up scrambling to throw something together at 7:00 in the morning as the kids are coming down the stairs.
(Does this sound familiar? Trust me, you aren’t alone!)
I’ll be honest: I love when someone does all that work for me. I love an incredible book list or a literature-rich curriculum.
Why I love Beautiful Feet Books
For the uninitiated, Beautiful Feet Books is an award-winning company that offers homeschool families literature-rich curriculum that is both inspiring and easy to use.
Beautiful Feet Books features some of the best literature available, with countless award-winning titles.
The lessons use a Charlotte Mason approach and therefore includes:
- reading
- reasoning
- relating
- recording
The activities contained in the study guides include drawing, writing, vocabulary, maps, notebooking, timelines, research, and more. The activities cover a variety of academic and non-academic subjects.

For those curious, I try to use secular curricula. Beautiful Feet Books is not secular, but it’s not overtly religious either. Much of the emphasis is on character and building empathy and I love that.
I have used- and enjoyed- the following packages from Beautiful Feet Books:
- Early American History Primary
- Teaching Character Primary
- Around the World with Picture Books Part I
- Geography Through Literature Study
- History of Science
- Teaching Character Intermediate
- History of Classical Music,
We have honestly enjoyed every single title included in these studies. Every. Single. One. And I have my eyes on History of the Horse! (Stay tuned, book lovers!)
But, today, I’d like to chat about our recent Coffee and Books obsession: Around the World with Picture Books II. That’s right! The second part of this amazing series is now out!
Beautiful Feet Books: Around the World with Picture Books II
We loved Around the World with Picture Books I so much that I was over-the-moon excited to check out part II! It did not disappoint! This picture book study features many titles you will recognize, and many more that will make your family read-alouds memorable and magical!
Around the World with Picture Books II is designed for use with elementary school students (preK-3rd grade), but I am a huge advocate of using picture books with older students and my 11-year-old enjoyed these, too!
This new course includes coverage of South America and Europe.
Together, your family will journey through Ecuador, Chile, Peru, and Brazil and then through France, Spain, Italy, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, and Great Britain. Your travels will include heaps of award-winning books. Additional resources and ideas for nature study, folktales, music, art, poetry, biographies, and history are also included.
The teacher guide includes questions to guide you through the exploration of each country. Maps and flags are included for coloring pages, journaling, or notebooking. Additional resources and reading lists are included so that you can take each lesson to another level if you so desire.
Around the World with Picture Books II includes approximately 70 lessons.
You can choose to complete four lessons per week for a semester of study or you can do two lessons per week for a one-year exploration.
Or, you can use this as a morning Coffee and Book study and move slowly through each country, sprinkling in Lazy Unit Studies here and there! It’s really up to you!
For those curious about part I, Around the World with Picture Books I includes Asia, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica and it’s also wonderful. We have used it in the past and we love having the books on our shelves. Beautiful Feet Books has the best titles– these are titles you’ll want to save for your grandkids!
