It’s time for our Coffee and Books January 2018 round-up!
Now, I have to be honest here. The first half of January was fraught with viruses and the second half of the month has been filled with…
…our new puppy, Gryffin!
What I’m trying to say is- we didn’t read as much as we typically do. The kids were either too sick, too crabby, too tired, or too in love with our new pup.
You can read more about what “puppyschooling” has looked like here:
- Puppyschooling: How to Homeschool with a Puppy
- Cait’s Homeschool Day in the Life (with a 6-, 8-, 9-year-old and new puppy)
I’m determined to read more in February. And that’s one of the reasons why I created our February Coffee and Books photo challenge!
I’d love it if you could join in the fun!

We loved Wonder! My youngest and I have been listening to Auggie and Me and that is excellent as well. We’ve recently discovered Chris Van Dusen ( I hope that’s right. It’s late!) and love all his books. I’m pretty sure it’s a crime that we hadn’t read him before. We are currently reading The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place Book 1 and enjoying it. Charlotte’s Web is next on my list for read a loud. And I love Jamie Martins Give the Child the World (again I hope that’s the right title) We are reading our way through Europe. We started the story about the creators of Curious George today – Margaret and H.A. Rey. Can’t think of the title. Maybe it’s time for bed. Looking forward to printing your list and heading to the library!
